This week's topic is an introduction to an idea thats really going to be ever expansive across the existence of this brand's journey. It's about choosing a life, rather than relenting to fate, and it's about experiencing as much of that chosen life as we possibly can. Specifically in this piece, it's about why I think that's worth talking about, or furthermore, building an entire brand around. This is Polituccio, a lifestyle media brand centred around personal growth and wellness. What that basically means is, I'm here to chat about us humans, and all that we can be.

At a glance, that media will exist as a sort of journey each week (or as close to that as I can while balancing those other things in life ;)), featuring blog 1 on Mondays, pod 1 on Tuesdays, blog 2 on Wednesdays, and pod 2 on Thursdays - all following a similar sort of narrative around the same 'Topic of the Week'. Short form will be exploring these topics further in thoughtful, small moments in order to provoke you to continue musing on what these ideas mean for yourself. You'll find there is always a current Topic of the Week page on Polituccio.com featuring this freshly published content, and once they are no longer the focal point, they will shift to the archives of the pillar they seem most relevant to, forever providing a resource to you. Those 8 pillars represent the areas & time that our lives are already divided amongst. I believe the source to a wonderful life is, if we can intentionally refocus our attention on the incremental improvement of each of them one after another so that over time, we continue to level up all of the interconnecting aspects of how we exist, creating the ultimate source of our joy - the exploration of the world through revealing more of ourselves.

When I started work on this topic focus, it was about how to change. How to create personal growth. In my attempt to introduce it, I found myself winding further and further back, trying to articulate why any of it mattered at all. A paragraph turned into 1000 words, and so I've planned to spend a week on that before we really get into the practical. That blog preludes this way of personal growth thinking, it's titled, 'Can we create our lives, or has fate already decided?', which you can read this Wednesday 6th August, 2025 on Polituccio.com (I'll list this and others in the most helpful order of viewing below). Leaving the 'how to' to really start to begin properly next week instead.

That blog is the first insight ive shared into the makings of what began 3 decades ago that lead me to here and now, launching the start of this brand, this project - Polituccio - a project for all of us to build ourselves into the layers of life we hope to live. So, preluding that, the first episode on The Pod by Poli this week is a little piece I've cryptically titled, 'Why I built this brand', you can listen to it from tomorrow, August 5th, 2025, but again, I'll list this for best ordering below.

I explain a lot of the heart behind the brand on that episode, but as well, the brand in itself is essentially a framework for real, practical momentum. On that practical side, I needed a framework to contextualise the infinite tools available to us when going about change. When to use each resource, and which ones are technically interchangeable. That is, which pieces are all possible routes for inspiration, purpose, which are all possible routes for practical solution, which are all possible routes for unblocking my way mentally? How long do I try this for? What counts as progress? When have I achieved it? Which order do I use them in? And is there even any point for me?

This entire brand is, in a sense, structurally founded on concepts outlined within that framework, but the point is not the framework. The point of Poli is then, to explore all of the contextual fillings that might, for each of you separately, be just what you need to fulfil that step of your path in this given moment. The framework exists for us to find our bearings on our path, so that we know which tool next to reach for. And so, what more of a perfect introductory place for us to begin this journey, and brand together, than to found the starting episodes on exploring the concepts of the frameworks stages? So, that is what we shall do, beginning next week! And for this week, we mentally prepare. Here is all of the content that I just introduced, in the recommended order of consumption:

Pod 1:

Tomorrow, 7am Tuesday 5th August, 2025 AEST, you can listen to the very first Pod by Poli episode, 'Why I built this brand', so that you know exactly what I hope to give you, before you invest your time in me.

Blog 2:

Later this week at 7am on Wednesday 6th August, 2025 AEST, you will find that very special blog I mentioned, 'Can we create our lives, or has fate already decided?', about some starting ideas I shared on what has lead me to question this idea of our capacity to choose our lives, for so much of mine.

Pod 2:

On 7am on Thursday 7th August, 2025 AEST, you can listen to me expand on that topic a lot more messily on The Pod by Poli Episode 2, titled the same, 'Can we create our lives, or has fate already decided?'. This is an important precursor to consider for yourself, as to whether you believe change is in fact, an option for you at all.

I hope by then, you are quite sure indeed, that your future belongs to you, and will join me then next week, where we will begin on this wonderful journey together commemorating the beginning of Polituccio, and the beginning of all of the rest of you, where we commence the discussions of The Framework.

I don't mean to champion frameworks or divine truths or anything like that, this is just something that helps me, and that creates some good context to what this brand, Polituccio, aims to be - that is, a place that brings the pieces of our journeys all together, and keeps us on our way.

See you soon ciccios xoxoxo
